Warrington Mela returns this weekend on Sunday, August 31st, running from 10.30am to 6pm across Queens Gardens and Time Square.
This year’s theme is ‘Home’, with the programme exploring stories of belonging and shared experience through performance, food, and creative activity. Between 10.30am and 6pm, events will take place across the town, bringing people together from across Warrington and beyond.
The day begins with a parade from Warrington Town Hall, led by Rhythm of Warrington, featuring Dolly and Rocky, two giant four-metre-tall puppets. Queens Gardens will host live performances throughout the day, including music, dance, martial arts, and family-friendly acts. Time Square will feature a variety of shows and entertainment, while pop-up performances will appear around the town.
