Time Square has a packed programme of events this summer, featuring a great mix of festivals, live entertainment, outdoor activities, and family-friendly fun. From music and food to sports and kids’ activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the season. Here is what’s coming up.

Every Saturday morning throughout summer, join Hotpod Yoga at 7am in front of Warrington Market for a free outdoor yoga session that’s suitable for all ages and experience levels. These sessions are raising money for their chosen charity, Warrington Wolves Community Foundation, so all donations are very much appreciated. To register for a session, visit here.

The Hop, Grape and Grain Festival returns to Warrington Market on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday, 3rd August. Expect an array of drinks to choose from, including craft beer, fine wine and cocktails. There will also be live music performances, DJs, local vendors and food from around the world. Entry is free and no tickets are required, find out more here.

On Saturday, August 9th, head to Gravity Social for SoXial Festival from 12pm to 10pm. Expect an all-day BBQ, live music, drinks deals, games and fun in the beer garden. Hosted by Louise Schofield, the event is free but tickets are required. More information is available here.

Wednesdays in August feature free family fun as part of the Victoria Park Experience (VPX) with each day taking part at a different venue. On Wednesday, August 13th, VPX comes right into the heart of the town, taking over Time Square and Market Gate with a full day of free entertainment for families.

Summer in Time Square is a weekly series throughout August offering family-friendly activities, entertainment, and outdoor fun. Each Thursday from 11am to 4pm, you can find games, rides, and interactive projects perfect for all ages. Take a look at what’s happening each week:

  • Thursday, August 7th, there will be a range of traditional funfair rides, face painting and interactive walkabouts.
  • Thursday, August 14th, will see the return of the Extreme Mountain Bike Show with thrilling stunts led by champion Danny Butler. Free bike marking and repair advice will be available from Warrington Cycle Hub, along with cycling promotion by the Borough Council.
  • On Thursday, August 21st, Livewire will be taking over the square, providing free drop-in sports sessions throughout the day for all ages. No booking is required, just turn up and get involved in the fun.
  • Finally, on Thursday, August 28th, Lancashire Crazy Golf is back with a free crazy golf course, plus face painting and interactive walkabouts.

To wrap up the summer, the Warrington Mela 2025 returns on Sunday, August 31st, celebrating culture, community, and connection. This year’s theme, Home, explores stories of belonging through performance, food, and creative activities.
