Warrington is preparing for its first ever Restaurant Week, taking place from Monday, 6th to Sunday, 12th October. Organised by Warrington BID, the event will showcase the town’s food and drink businesses through exclusive offers and special menus.
Warrington Market is pleased to be part of the celebrations. As part of Restaurant Week, the Cookhouse food hall in Time Square is offering a family-friendly deal – Kids eat free (one child’s main meal under 16 with every adult main meal purchased from the same trader). The offer runs Monday, 6th to Thursday, 9th October across a wide range of Cookhouse traders.
The Cookhouse brings together independent traders and international cuisines, along with indoor and outdoor dining spaces and two bars. It is open Monday to Thursday 9am–6pm, Friday to Saturday 9am–10pm, and Sunday 10am – 7pm. Opening hours for individual kitchens may vary within these times.
For Restaurant Week, the following traders are taking part:
Tam’s Takeaway
Tam’s Takeaway has become a go-to spot for comforting Chinese favourites. From salt and pepper chicken to chow mein, fried rice and spring rolls, it offers generous portions and a familiar menu that keeps regulars coming back.
Tamarind Thai
Tamarind Thai serves freshly prepared dishes ranging from classic curries to stir-fries, soups and salads. Balancing heat and flavour, their menu offers plenty of choice for both those who enjoy spice and those who prefer something milder.
That Ziki
That Ziki is the creation of brothers Jack and Luke Newton, who started out with a food truck in 2022 before growing into multiple kitchens. Their Warrington Market site is all about Greek street food, with gyros, loaded fries and plant-based options. Much of their menu is built on imported ingredients and homemade sauces, giving their food an authentic edge.
Café at the End of the Universe (3–5pm)
Originally launched at comic-cons and festivals, Café at the End of the Universe set up in Warrington in 2017. Known for its themed burgers, wings and loaded fries, the café reflects its love of pop culture throughout the menu and the décor. Their food challenge platter has become a talking point among loyal customers.
Patterson’s
Patterson’s arrived in Warrington this summer, building on its success in Liverpool. Known for its fried chicken, which is brined for more than 24 hours in a secret blend of herbs and spices, the menu also includes burgers, wings and loaded fries.
Louie’s Pizza
Louie’s Pizza is all about handmade, New York-style pizza. Dough is prepared fresh on site, toppings are kept simple, and slices are served in true American style. The business is named after the owner’s son Louie, who is often spotted helping out.
Dark Side of the Spoon (3–5pm)
Dark Side of the Spoon is the dessert venture from the team behind Café at the End of the Universe. Expect indulgent sundaes, waffles, doughnuts and bespoke cakes, often with playful nods to movies and comics.
Celebrating Restaurant Week
Restaurant Week is the perfect chance to explore the Cookhouse and discover the mix of independent traders who call it home. With something for everyone, from gyros and Thai curries to pizza, fried chicken and desserts, and a Kids Eat Free offer running across participating traders, it’s a showcase of what Warrington Market brings to the town’s food and drink scene.
