Time Square in Warrington has established itself as a vibrant hub for community events and cultural celebrations, hosting a series of recent and upcoming events that underscore its central role in town life.
During Warrington’s Music Month in late May, Time Square was abuzz with two exceptional music events over the Bank Holiday weekend. The festivities included the renowned Warrington Music Festival, drawing diverse crowds with its eclectic lineup, and the much-anticipated “Proms in the Square”, which returned for its second year.
Featuring captivating performances by The Untold Orchestra and Twisted Tubes, the event drew crowds from near and far with its mix of classical and contemporary music.
The spirit of inclusion thrived at Warrington Pride on June 8, where our destination transformed into a vibrant celebration of diversity. The event featured lively drag performances, live music and engaging community activities.
On Fathers Day, our town was gripped by the excitement of the Krazy Races, a spirited soapbox derby that brought cheers from spectators along Bridge Street. Meanwhile, Time Square was jammed packed with spectators enjoying the race broadcast on a large screen, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the day.
Participants and onlookers alike embraced the event’s creativity and competitive energy, affirming our status as a premier venue for community gatherings.
For those interested in wellness and relaxation, Time Square also hosted a special Solstice Yoga session, organised by Hotpod Yoga Warrington. It offered participants a unique opportunity to practice yoga in their immersive, heated environment, celebrating the summer solstice with mindfulness and community spirit. And the sunshine definitely came out for everyone involved.
Looking forward, we’re now eagerly anticipating hosting the upcoming Warrington Arts Festival next month. This event promises a rich programme of artistic exhibitions and interactive sessions, set to captivate all ages and interests.
Time Square continues to be a bustling centre for business and leisure, with new openings and regular events. The introduction of Yum Cha, a popular Chinese restaurant, and Gravity Social, an NYC-themed bar, adds to the diverse culinary and entertainment options available. Regular events like the Cookhouse Comedy Club and Botanist Bingo ensure there’s always something happening to engage both locals and visitors.
