Acts On The Night
Alex Boardman
Comedian and writer Alex Boardman is now one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun.
He was the warm-up act for An Evening with Eric Cantona at The London Palladium (2017) and The Lowry Salford (2017) and also for Paul Hollywood Bake Off Tour (2015) performing over 40 dates across theatres in the UK and Dublin.
“Alex started stand up the year before me at the same dodgy backrooms and pubs in Manchester. He has gone on to be one of the most assured confident stand ups on the circuit and regularly plays all the top comedy clubs here and abroad. I employed him as a writer when I was on 8 Out of 10 cats, he is quality.” Jason Manford
“Very Funny, a rare mixture of wit and charm.” The Guardian
“Alex was one of a small band of writers who worked on the second series of John Bishop’s Britain on BBC 1 and he made a significant contribution to it being the highest rated stand up show of 2011 bringing in six million viewers a week. He can turn material around quickly and has the great skill of enhancing existing ideas to make a show better rather than just wishing to force his own material which makes him a great collaborator.” John Bishop
Chris Washington
With a cheeky Northern charm and hilarious tales Wigan born Chris Washington is a highly regarded comedian on the live ciruit as well as being a support favourite for the likes of John Bishop, Jason Manford, Kevin Bridges, Milton Jones and Jonathan Pie.
Chris made his TV debut on BBC1 with a 30 minute stand up special ‘Live from the BBC’. Likened to a “Peter Kay for the smart phone generation”, Chris has also appeared on ‘Mock the Week’, ‘House of Games’, ‘Stand Up for Live Comedy’ (BBC) and ‘The Stand Up Sketch Show’ (ITV2) as well as hosting a podcast and Radio shows for Radio X.
An accomplished writer Chris has written and starred in a series of viral sketches for BBC three Quickies, which amassed over 15 million views.
“A master of storytelling” The Times
“Turning mundane anecdotes in to hysterical stand upset-pieces” The List
Hosted by Bren Riley
There’s nothing bland or predictable about this stand-up comic. Brendan’s Liverpudlian accent and lively blend of anecdotes, gags and inspired improvisation brings a refreshing blast of cheerful North Western humour and makes him a sought after headline act and MC.
