Get ready for an unforgettable day at Time Square Warrington this Saturday as it transforms into the heart of the town’s vibrant Pride celebrations.

This year, Time Square is not just the meeting point for the much-anticipated parade, but also the epicentre of a day filled with exciting activities and entertainment for all ages.

The parade will kick off from Time Square with speeches from 11am, setting the tone for a day of joy and community spirit. The square will be buzzing with a packed programme of entertainment featuring the best of local talent, from youth performances to showcases, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We are also delighted to collaborate with the University of Chester, who will be hosting creative workshops from 10am. Attendees can make their own flags or badges for the parade, adding a personal touch to the festivities. Read all about their full programme of activities on the day here.

Culture Warrington will be also hosting a number of sessions in the University as part of their Pride programme including:

Place to Pause – Conversation Space (10am to 3:30pm) – a quieter place to really get those thoughts wondering. With stimulating creative activities, displayed consultation feedback, and a bundle of opportunities to discuss thoughts, as a group or as an individual, this is a welcoming, friendly and safe space to take that much needed deep breath.

I put my love in your hands by Rachael Pirie (10am – 3:30pm) – An audio walking tour about identity, sexuality and what it means to hold hands with a stranger. The performance debuted earlier this year in Lancaster and is now coming to Warrington, featuring all new voices and participants from the Warrington queer community. On the day of Warrington Pride, people will have the chance to receive their headphones and player to dive into the world of hand holding. If that isn’t for you, then a QR code will be available to listen to when you wish. Just don’t forget your headphone and phone with internet access.
